That parking lot behind Memorial Gardens that turned into a sea of mud in the spring, is getting a temporary makeover.
Troy baseball field was being used for parking during Battalion games over the winter, but when the team had that spectacular playoff run, spring melting turned the lot into a soggy mess and the ability to park cars was gone.
Now it's getting a temporary fix as city crews remove soil and drop crushed asphalt over the area.
It's a stop-gap measure until the lot can be properly paved.
