Funeral services set for city police officer

Funeral arrangements are complete for North Bay Police Constable Andrew William Keating.

On Friday May 16th, at approximately 10:30 a.m., the West Nipissing Police Service informed city police of the sudden death of Keating, which took place on Highway 17, just east of Sturgeon Falls. A non-criminal investigation is on-going.

 He was the loving son of William (Donna) and Linda (Neil). Dear brother of  Laura (Robert Gee).  He will be fondly remembered by his nephew Tyler and niece Ashley.

Predeceased by a cousin Christopher Codner, his grandparents Dorothy Drover, Robert and Lucy Keating. 

Andrew was a police constable for the City of North Bay for over 4 years, he will be sadly missed by his family and fellow police officers.

Family receiving friends at Hillside Funeral Services, 362 Airport Rd., on Friday May 23 from 7 until 9 p.m. and on Saturday May 24th from 12 noon until 2 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. 

A book of condolences will be available to sign at the North Bay Police Services Department from 9 am until 1 am all week.

Donations to the Ontario Special Olympics in memory of Andrew will be gratefully acknowledged by his family.
