New budget may trigger election

Thursday, May 01, 2014   by: Jeff Turl

Get ready for another provincial election.

A new budget will be presented at Queen's Park at 4 p.m. this afternoon and if both opposition parties fail to support it, Ontario voters will face a trip to the polls.

Expected to be hit this time are smokers, and those earning over $150,000 a year.

Check back with Baytoday.ca for reaction from Conservative MPP Vic Fedeli, NDP candidate-elect Henri Giroux, and North Bay Mayor Al McDonald.
