Alshuller now posts a stellar .947 save percentage in the playoffs, after he turned away 50 of Battalion 51 shots in game 1.

---------------------------

Tough spot for Battalion  2013 1st rounder losing both his linemates.  The Bratina-McKenzie-Henriksson line was solid early in the playoffs for the Troops.

-----------------------------

With injuries to Henriksson and Bratina, Kyle Locke will step in at forward alongside Brett McKenzie and Jared Steege on the Troops 4th line.

------------------------------

Stan compares Smith to former Red Wings netminder Manny Legace, but I think he plays a lot like former All-Star Calgary Flames backstopper Miikka Kiprusoff.

-------------------------------

Jake Smith starts coming off his 3rd straight shutout in opening games in the 2014 OHL playoffs for the agile netminder.

--------------------------------

That means the Battalion dress the same lineup as was used in game 1

---------------------------------

Henriksson and Bratina stil on the shelf for tonight's contest.  Bratina with a concussion and Henriksson nursing a lower body injury.  Henriksson is expected to be closer to a return.

The Generals will look to play a more conservative style as their more wide open approach Friday led to turnovers which led to a playoff high 51 shots on goaltender Daniel Altshuller.

----------------------------------

Generals welcome back 40-goal scorer Scott Laughton who was serving the final game of a suspension he rec'd early in the Peterborough-Gens series.

-----------------------------------

In Friday's win, head coach Stan Butler moved into 4th overall in OHL wins with his 60th behind the bench for the Troops.
