Motorist charged following RIDE check on Hwy 654

The North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) continues to be vigilant in Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E.) efforts throughout the year.

On March 1, 2014, a member of the Powassan Detachment (OPP) was conducting R.I.D.E. on Highway 654, Nipissing Township.

At approximately 6:37 p.m. an officer checked a vehicle and found that the driver had been drinking.

Terry TRACEY, 49 of Nipissing Township was charged with Care and Control over 80mgs section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Anyone with information regarding impaired drivers is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
