City police release domestic violence stats for January

The North Bay Police responded to 73 domestic related incidents that resulted in a total of 15 males and 4 females being charged with a variety of offences.

Charges against the males include:

 

  • assaults X17,
  • assault with a weapon X2,
  • breach of recognizance X3,
  • breach of probation X6,
  • utter threats  X4,
  • criminal harassment  X1,
  • mischief  X4 ,
  • forcible confinement  X1.

Ten males were held for bail. Five males were released with conditions and a court date.

Charges against the females include assault X4, and assault with a Weapon X3.

Two females were held for bail. Two females were released with conditions and a court date.
