A new agreement has been struck between Canadore College and the Limerick Institute of Technology (LIT) in Limerick, Ireland, which will see the institutions share best practices in student exchanges, curriculum development and joint research activities.
“The partnership between Canadore and LIT covers a lot of ground,” said George Burton, President of Canadore College.
“Canadore is eager to work with Limerick, an institution who puts its students first, in a country where the Irish Government has identified education and industry supports at the top of their national priority list.”
The agreement encompasses areas of cooperation in;
- Exchange of students and/or interns
- Exchange of faculty and/or staff
- Joint research activities and publications
- Participation in seminars and academic training initiatives
- Exchange of academic materials and other information
- Collaborative programs to lead to joint credentials
- Specialized short-term academic programs
- Joint business incubation centre activities
“There are many exciting opportunities ahead,” said Burton.
“We are always striving to be responsive to industry and to serve our students in the best ways possible. The first of our exchanges to Ireland will take place in May, and I can’t wait to see the results.”
