OPP offer tips to keep your snowmobile secure

ALMAGUIN HIGHLANDS - The Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has investigated several thefts of snowmobiles this winter.  The following tips will assist in protecting your snowmobile.

• Keep your snowmobile inside a garage or covered with a tarp.
• Chain the snowmobile to a solid structure if unable to store indoors
• Store the snowmobile in an area not easily seen from the road
• Remove the keys from the machine
• Install a kill switch.
