WoodWOORKS receives FedNor funding

Friday, January 31, 2014   by: Jamie Lyle

On Friday morning at One Kid's Place, it was announced that the Canadian Wood Council's Ontario WoodWORKS! Program will receive $600,000 of FedNor funding.

WoodWORKS! Ontario is a national campaign to increase the use of wood and wood related products, to be used in commercial, industrial and institutional construction, in an age where plastic and other man made materials have been used as stock of the trade.

Nipissing-Timiskaming MP Jay Aspin, who made the announcement, says the FedNor funds will go a ways in creating and maintaining more than 470 jobs in Northern Ontario.
