Three people face drug charges following RIDE check

At 11:30 p.m. Jan 13th a R.I.D.E. check on Main St E at the overpass identified a strong smell of marijuana coming from a vehicle with 3 occupants.

A partial marijuana cigarette butt was visible on the dash.

A subsequent search of the vehicle and occupants located 36 grams of marijuana, 40 methamphetamine pills, 1.5 grams of cocaine, multiple scales, baggies and over a $1000 in cash.

Wayne Dawson 30 years of Cassells St has been charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled drug, 2 counts of breach of probation and has been held in custody for a bail hearing.

Matthew Summers 25 years of Clarence St was charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled drug and released with a court date of 11 Mar 2014.

Brittany Hindmarsh 22 years of Pinewood Park Dr was charged with 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled drug, possession of a prohibited weapon, and released with a court date of 11 Mar 2014.
