Sunset Park Public School is pleased to announce that its Me to We team raised over $1700 towards building a school in Africa.

Several grade five and six students, supported by teaching staff at Sunset Park participated in the Me to We initiative which encourages youth to create positive change in their world.

The students chose to sell 'bricks', of which 500 are needed to build a schoolhouse in a developing country.

Sunset students, parent council, administration, and staff stepped up to the challenge with generous donations of time, purchasing of bricks and participation in the Santa Sale.

The team is partnering with other Me to We teams from the West Ferris Family of Schools in achieving a goal of $10 000, which will provide generations of new learners and leaders an education in a developing country.
