McCool acclaimed Catholic Board Chair for fourth consecutive term

At its organizational meeting on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board of Trustees acclaimed Barbara McCool as Chair for a fourth consecutive term and Judy Manitowabi as Vice-Chair for a second consecutive term.

Barbara McCool has served as Trustee with the Board since 1977, was Chair of the Board from 1999-2000 and 2002-2004, and was previously involved as both member and chair of the NPSC Special Education Advisory Committee for many years.  Judy Manitowabi was first elected to the Board as a Trustee in 2003, has served as Vice-Chair between January 2006 and November 2007, and is currently the Chair of the Board's First Nations Advisory Committee.

The Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board serves approximately 3000 students in 12 elementary schools across North Bay, West Nipissing, Mattawa, Powassan and Callander and St. Joseph-Scollard Hall Catholic Secondary School inNorth Bay.
