Main St E. man charged with assault

At 5:30 p.m. on the 15th Dec a man entered an apartment on Main St E without knocking, shoved the male resident out of a chair onto the floor then tried to punch him.

The victim managed to evade the assault so the intruder smashed several items in the apartment.

These included a table, a computer and a telephone. A neighbor called the police and the intruder left. He was arrested at 5:40 p.m. at his residence.

Sylvester Restoule 33 years of Main St E has been charged with break and enter, assault, and mischief.

He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
