Led by Dr. Lemay the folks at the Callander Bay Dental Centre, in cooperation with the North Bay Battalion, are hoping to set a Guinness World Record at Memorial Gardens on Thursday December 12th for the Most people using mouthwash simultaneously.

The attempt will be made during the first intermission of the game that sees the Battalion take on the Barrie Colts.

Each individual will swish mouthwash donated by Crest Oral B and Henry Schein (4,000 36 ml bottles – travel sized), for 15 seconds and then to spit the mouthwash back into the bottle and recap.

The current record is held by New York City and saw 1,142 simultaneously swish mouthwash at an event organized by Colgate at Times Square on June 25, 2013.

With the capacity at the Gardens at 4,000 officials hope to capture the record with ease.

Not only do they hope to set a record for bragging rights, the dental clinic is giving back to the community as 50 cents per participant will be donated to One Kids Place.

“We invite community partners to match our donation.”

An official adjudicator from Guinness World Records® will be in attendance.
