At 5:10 pm on the 01st Dec a large retail store at Northgate Square reported that between 9 and 10 a.m. on the 01st Dec a man had purchased merchandise using 3 counterfeit $100 bills then drove to Huntsville where he tried to return the merchandise for a refund at the same retailer.
The suspect was already in the custody of Huntsville O.P.P. for offences in their jurisdiction.
Investigation revealed that the same suspect passed 3 $100 counterfeit bills at second North Bay retailer.
A warrant has been issued for Pernel Persad 26 years of Hamilton for 2 counts of uttering counterfeit money.
