A man responsible for a violent crime spree on 24th Apr 2012 that involved a weapon, robbery, assaults, and sex offences was sentenced to a total of 23 years consecutive, and an additional total of 45 years that will run concurrently.
Wade Laporte 46 years had been charged with a total of 19 offences. In Oct 2013 he pled guilty to 12 offences and 7 charges were withdrawn.
He was sentenced on Nov 4th 2013. The following is a breakdown of the sentencing.
Charges withdrawn
Two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, forcible confinement, robbery with violence, and aggravated assault.
