More than $275,000 in one-time funding is being provided to two local health organizations, Nipissing MPP Vic Fedeli announced today.
The North Bay Regional Health Centre will receive up to $125,074 for the 2013-14 fiscal to support retention of late career nurses.
The funding comes via the Late Career Nurse initiative.
Also, the Physically Handicapped Adults Rehabilitation Association (PHARA) will receive $150,000 for the 2013-14 fiscal year to support Personal Support Worker training.
“On behalf of residents of Nipissing, I offer my sincere appreciation to our local health care professionals for their continued dedication to providing quality care and service,” said Fedeli.
