Expect some delays if traveling north of Huntsville today Update

NOVAR - Hwy # 11 Novar now fully open to traffic.

On Friday November 8, 2013 sometime after 6:00am Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Huntsville OPP and Muskoka EMS and Fire were advised of a tractor trailer that had rolled over in the northbound lanes, north of Novar Ontario. The driver of the tractor trailer was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

While Almaguin Detachment members were responding to the tractor trailer crash, one of the cruisers lost control on the icy roads rolling into the southbound ditch. The officer was also transported to a local hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.

Highway #11 north of Novar is reduced to one lane.

Almaguin Highlands OPP will be closing the highway intermittently throughout the day until the tractor trailer can be removed.

Drivers can expect some delays while traveling north of Huntsville today.
