The North Bay police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a vehicle and driver that were involved in a minor pedestrian collision.

About 1230hrs on Tuesday 29th October, 2013 a woman was crossing McIntyre Street using the Fisher Street crosswalk. A small, dark vehicle was stopped at the red light intending to make a right turn onto Fisher St. The vehicle started the turn and failed to yield to the pedestrian, striking her and forcing her onto the hood of the car. The car then stops, and as the pedestrian finishes crossing the street the car leaves the area.

This may have been an innocent action, but after a collision, a driver is required to stop, offer assistance, exchange information and report the matter to police. The driver is described as a female in her 20s. Anyone who has information about this collision is asked to contact Cst Steve Brown at 705-497-5555.
