Two charged with theft under $5000

On the 27th Oct a male drove a female to a retail store on Mckeown Av, a grocery store on Algonquin Ave and a liquor store. It is alleged that the woman took a quantity of merchandise from each store without paying.

At 5:11 p.m. the police located the suspects and the vehicle on the 100 block of Main St E. Both persons were arrested and a subsequent search located the stolen merchandise as well as a quantity of Tylenol 3’s, a quantity of Cloazapam, and an expandable baton.

Lara Gagnon 47 years of Main St W has been charged with 3 counts of theft under $5000, 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and she was held in custody for a bail hearing.

The male, identified as a young offender was charged with 3 counts of theft under $5000, 2 counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a concealed weapon and is to appear in youth court at a later date.
