Faith Ambassadors give the soup kitchen a boost

North Bay’s local soup kitchen, The Gathering Place, is cashing in an extra $2,432.78 this month thanks to the successful mass and pasta dinner fundraiser hosted by the Nipissing-Parry Sound Catholic District School Board Faith Ambassadors in October.

Jill Clark, Gathering Place Executive Director, said the proceeds will help to produce the 2500 monthly meals the kitchen serves to its 120 daily patrons.

NPSC would like to thank its generous sponsors for helping to offset the cost of the dinner. THANK YOU Messier’s Food Basics, Sobeys, FreshCo., Parker’s Your Independent Grocer, Mike and Lori’s No Frills, Oshell’s Valu-Mart, Mrs. Emilia Hlusek, Monsignor Norm Clement, Beatty Printing, NPSC Senior Administration and fundraising efforts at Mother St. Bride and St. Theresa Schools.
