Former senior Metrolinx manager charged with Breach of Trust

Orillia - Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Anti-Rackets Branch - Corruption Unit has charged a former senior manager of Metrolinx.

The OPP investigation revealed that there is sufficient evidence to lay charges against the accused for using his position of trust to facilitate the hiring of contract services for his employer while receiving secret commissions between July, 2006 and October, 2007.

Charged is Ashish DEB, 47-years- old, of Toronto, with;

· Four counts of Secret Commissions, Section 426 of the Criminal Code

· Four counts of Breach of Trust by a Public Officer, Section 122 of the Criminal Code

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at Old City Hall on November 4, 2013.
