Good Samaritan thankedThursday, October 17, 2013 by: Kate AdamsYvonne and Frank Giordano reached out to BayToday to send thanks to a young man who helped their young daughter following an accident Wednesday:
"On the early evening of Wednesday Oct 16th, our yorkie took off out the front door, and on to Lakeshore Dr, our 12 year old daughter ran out after the dog, and was unsuccessful in catching him. He was hit by a black truck, who kept going, and didn't stop.
Our daughter was left alone to pick up her extremely injured pup off the road.
She says she was crying, when a young man, roughly in his twenties came RUNNING to help her. She says he was very kind, and asked her if she was okay, she said he knew the dog wasn't.
He walked her home while she carried her pup in her arms, who was full of blood and so was she. He made sure she had someone here at home for her.
We want to thank this young man for his act of kindness, he needs to know how special he is for helping her, and the positive impact he had on her. The pup passed away from his injuries.
We don't know who this young man is, and believe he deserves recognition and to know how grateful we are that he was there to help our daughter."
