Delaware Ave man charged with assault police

At 4:00 p.m. on the 10th Oct a North Bay officer was in the process of arresting a man on the 700 block of Algonquin Ave for warrants originating in Barrie and Huntsville.

He assaulted the officer then fled eastward through back yards. A foot pursuit with other officers ended in the 700 block of Galt St where he again resisted arrest but was taken into custody.

The first officer was taken to hospital, treated and released.

David Sullivan 28 years of Delaware Ave has been charged with assault police and resist arrest.

He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
