For 30 years they have provided shelter from a storm

Board and staff members of the Nipissing Transition House marked their 30th anniversary celebration this past Thursday by reviewing the significant contributions made to the City of North Bay in regard to assisting individuals affected by acts of domestic violence during a reception at Discovery North Bay Museum.

Janine Lafreniere, Executive Director of the Nipissing Transition House says it would be nice not to have a need for their services anywhere, but while the need exists they will to raise awareness about domestic violence and provide resources to victims of domestic violence for the community.
