The North Bay Police Chief Paul Cook reached out to the community this week, by way of town hall meetings, seeking residents’ input to identify issues of importance that will help develop the 2014 to 2016 Business Plan.

Cook says the public plays a vital role in the process as community support is integral to the continued success of Police Service and in identifying what consumers want as policing priorities.

Cook says he was not surprised that drugs topped the list of concerns for residents.

“Not surprisingly drugs was the number one concern both in Callander and North Bay,” he tells BayToday.

“But you know we are not looking to add resources we are looking to maximise our existing resources. So we talked about different service delivery models and where we should be putting our assets and our human resources.”
