Galvin joins Canadore from the Royal Canadian Air Force. Recently retired from the RCAF as a general, he brings 33 years of leadership experience in aerospace, education and training to his new role. During his most recent post as Commander of 2 Canadian Air Division, the RCAF formation responsible for education and training, Galvin furthered the use of simulation and technology in RCAF schools, improved distance learning programs to improve access to training modules and established articulations with several postsecondary institutions.

“My family and I are excited about making North Bay our home base once again,” said Galvin. “This community, with its collaborative spirit, has always left a big impression on me. I’m a people person, and I’ve taken note of what Canadore and its team has been doing. I can’t wait to be a part of it.”

“Marty’s experience and skill set are extremely impressive,” said Donohue. “His proven ability to bridge ideas and foster positive relationships will be a great strength to the entire college.”
