Police report motorists in full compliance during Operation Welcome Back

Between 03SEP13 and 13SEP13, the North Bay Police Service Traffic Enforcement Officer as well as Platoon Traffic Officers followed area school buses in North Bay and Callander between the hours of 0700 – 0900 hrs and 1500 – 1700 hours to ensure drivers were stopping for school buses with their red lights flashing.

Officers also enforced school zone speed limits throughout this time period.

The Traffic Section found that during Operation “Welcome Back” drivers were in full compliance with the requirements under the HTA as it pertains to stopping for school buses and posted speed limits.

The North Bay Police Service would like to thank the members of the public, the media and area motorists for their assistance and compliance during this initiative.
