SOUTH RIVER, ON) Officers from the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police Detachment are investigating a fail to remain motor vehicle collision that occurred on Wednesday August 28, 2013 at approximately 11p.m.

The collision occurred on Alfred Street in the Village of South River when a dark coloured pickup truck struck a pedestrian walking along the side of the road.

The pedestrian was struck by the side mirror which caused the female to fall to the ground and suffer minor injuries.

Parry Sound Emergency Medical Service attended the scene and transported the 16 year old female of South River to the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital with non- life threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle stopped and asked the female if she was alright and then left. The vehicle is described as a dark coloured pickup truck with a cap on the back.
