Suicide Talk is a community-oriented program exploring issues in suicide prevention. The goals are to:
• Encourage life-protection, preservation and promotion activities
• Facilitate community awareness of suicide as a serious community problem
• Reduce the stigma and taboo surrounding suicide
• Increase personal commitment to and action in preventing suicide
• Support the spread of training opportunities and networking activities
When: Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Where: West Nipissing Public Library
Who should attend: This session is intended for professionals and the general public. Registration is required as space is limited. To register, call the Alliance Centre at 705-753-2271, ext 0. Registration deadline is September 3rd, 2013
Cost: By donation (all donations will be used to fund suicide prevention events in West Nipissing)
Presenters: This training is provided by 2 Certified Living Works Trainers and Mental Health Professionals.
