Saturday September 7th, North Bay will be hosting it's 1st annual Health and Fitness Day North Bay.

Five local businesses are partnering together to encourage North Bay citizens to start and maintain a healthy active lifestyle.

IT'S EASY, IT'S FUN, IT'S FREE AND YOUR HEALTH IS WORTH IT!
Bring a friend, bring a neighbour, in fact bring the entire family and let's get moving.

This Saturday morning between the hours of 8:00 am and 11:30 am, visit all 5 local businesses: Cor Maximus, Fun In Fitness, Heart & Stroke, The Next Step, and Peak Fitness.

“I believe between all of us, we can encourage our community to live a healthier and active life." stated Khouri Long from Cor Maximus.

Begin at any facility and make your way around town to all 5 locations. At each facility, the correct form of an exercise will be taught. Upon completion of the exercise, you will receive a free piece of a home fitness gym and a business card. At noon, take the business cards and your fitness goodies to KIA. At KIA you will receive the final piece of your free home fitness gym and a free lunch courtesy of Gd2Go.

“Not only do we want to get people moving, but we wanted to show the community that healthy food is an important component of health and that healthy food can be tasty as well. Because no matter how hard you exercise 'You can't out train a bad diet' said by Kelly Grenon, owner of Peak Fitness.

If a facility was missed, there is one final opportunity to learn the exercise and to get a business card.

Between 12:00 and 12:30 you are able to perform your last chance workout.

Once all of the 5 business cards have been acquired, your name will be put into a draw with the chance to win many great prizes donated by Skater's Edge, Kia North Bay, Nutrition Club, Polished, Gymtrix and Field Good Farms.

"Healthy community is one of 5 priorities of the city of North Bay,” stated Mayor Al McDonald. “I would like to thank these local businesses and organizations for their leadership in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle in our community."
