Police warn of suspicious male in Birchaven area

In the evening hours of Monday the 19th of August 2013, in the area of Lakeheights Road in North Bay, a male approached a group of youths and solicited their assistance in looking for a lost item in the bush area. The male offered cash as a reward for assisting and was persistent in his requests.

The male is described as Caucasian, approximately 30 years of age, 5’10” tall, chunky build, flat greasy hair, clean shaven, gaps in his front teeth, bushy eyebrows, black shorts, black t-shirt with white lettering, black shoes with white socks.

Investigation into this matter has been ongoing; however the identity of the male has not yet been determined.

Parents are reminded to speak with their children about dealing with strangers to ensure their safety while enjoying the summer months.
