On Saturday, August 24th, the North Bay Farmers Market will be hosting their 2nd Annual Garlic Festival!
If you haven’t tried fresh garlic now is your chance as there will be an abundance. For this special day the vendors will show case their products with garlic…including different jelly with garlic, pesto sauce, baked goods, pickled garlic, sauces with garlic, and of course fresh garlic.
Listen to the popular Verdon Vaillencourt as he performs for the day, while you visit with our diverse group of vendors…if you are looking for fresh veggies, fruit, plants, beef, pork, lamb, maple syrup products, honey products, or craft or artisan work, check out the vendors at the Market.
There will be a special “Fish Pond” for the children…they can go fishing for $1.00 with a prize every time! Weather permitting Ken Black our balloon artist/busker will be on hand for the children.
We will have special guests this Saturday, August 24th…representatives from FOODLAND ONTARIO, will attend the Market. http://www.foodland.gov.on.ca The ambassadors will offer a dip sampling throughout the morning and will hand out flyers. As well they will answer any questions the consumer may have regarding food facts, why buy fresh local foods, growing seasons, etc. The North Bay Farmers’ Market is one of 10 Farmers’ Markets in Ontario chosen to have FOODLAND ONTARIO attend their Market! Stop by, sample the dip and ask any questions you may have!
The market is open every Saturday 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – RAIN or SHINE at Parking Lot #10, behind the North Bay Bus Terminal, beside our neighbors the Discovery North Bay Museum, where right now you will see PATCHWORK ART, A North Bay Quilting Show… August 8th to September 3, 2013
