Community delivers loads of food for a little wine

The North Bay Food Bank asked, “What would you give to see April Wine?” and concert goers responded by donating 2,116 pounds of food and a whopping $1600 in monetary donations!


The Board of Directors of the North Bay Food Bank would like to thank the Summer in the Park committee for the opportunity to hold a food drive at Lee Park on Sunday, August 4, 2013. We also want to extend our thanks to all of those in attendance Sunday evening, who generously donated.


Amber Livingstone, Manager of the North Bay Food Bank stated, “North Bay is amazingly generous, and Sunday night’s concert donations were a shining example of the giving spirit of our community. These donations will help to stock our shelves for the remainder of summer, the toughest time of the year for food banks.”


The North Bay Food Bank is available to take food and monetary donations year round. The food bank is located at 1319 Hammond Street in North Bay and is open to serve clients Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. For more information, call the North Bay Food Bank at 705-495-3290.
