Male youth charged with resisting arrest

On 18th July at 6:14 p.m. police responded to an assault complaint at the skateboard park on Memorial Dr.

It was alleged that a 17yr old male had punched another male in the face with no warning. When the 17 yr old was located he resisted and had to be physically restrained. A small amount of what is believed to be marijuana was found in his possession.

He was charged with assault, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance.

He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
