The North Bay Police wish to caution the public about hazardous damage caused by the storm this morning. Trees and wires are down in several locations in both Callander and North Bay. Callander appears to have been damaged the most. Main St and King St are closed till further notice.

Locations in North Bay reported at this time are Mountainview Rd, Golf Course Rd, Decaire Rd, Northshore and Peninsula Rds. Police barricades are being set up until any dangerous situations are rectified. We encourage the public to avoid these areas and to be cognizant of their surroundings and aware that any downed wires or trees could be live... A similar storm is expected early this afternoon and further damage can occur and more dangerous situations develop.

Flooding is also expected because of the rain that has already fallen and this will be magnified by the storm this afternoon. Creeks will become hazardous and the rushing water poses a threat, particularly to children. Dangerous or potentially dangerous situations should be reported to your local police agency.
