Sudbury man charged following motor vehicle collision on Lakeshore Dr.

At 5:22 p.m. on July 16th a head on collision of a motorcycle and a pickup truck at Lakeshore Drive and Marshall Ave resulted in serious injuries to the driver of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle had been westbound on Marshall Ave and made a left turn to travel south in the centremost northbound lane of Lakeshore Dr. The pickup truck was northbound in the centremost lane of Lakeshore Dr approaching Marshall Ave when the two vehicles met head on.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 53 year old man from the Sudbury area has been charged under the highway Traffic Act of Ontario.

Cst Robin Boucher is investigating.
