Poitras TWP man charged with flight from police

Poitras TWP, South of Thorne, ON - Member of the North Bay OPP initiated a traffic stop on 14 July 2013 at approximately 8:00pm on a Side by Side ATV on Highway 63 just south of Thorne.

The ATV failed to stop for police. The driver of the ATV hit the police cruiser twice causing approximately $4000.00 in damages to the OPP vehicle.

Nicholas Andrew Page (33) of Poitras TWP 63 is charged with:

•Flight from Police contrary to section 249.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada

•Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content/Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

•Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to section 249 of the Criminal Code of Canada

Page was kept in custody pending his bail hearing and has since been released with conditions and to attend court on 30 July 2013
