The Near North District School Board’s Theatre Out Reach On Stage (TOROS) is proud to announce that tickets for their annual summer musical production Anything Goes are now on sale.

Celebrate the 27th season of TOROS aboard a cruise ship! Sixty of North Bay’s most talented intermediate and high school students will act, sing and dance their hearts out.
Shows run daily at 7:30 p.m. from August 7th to August 10th along with a special matinee performance on Saturday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $17.00 and are available at the Capitol Centre Box Office and online at www.capitolcentre.org.

Anything Goes is set aboard the ocean liner S.S. American, where nightclub singer/evangelist Reno Sweeney (Emily Hawton) is en route from New York to England. Her pal Billy Crocker (Brad Delarosbel) has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt (Caleigh Chirico), but the problem is Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh (Nick Boegel). Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin (Roxey Size) and his sidekick-in-crime Erma (Alex Black). With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.

Anything Goes is a shining example of classic musical theatre, complete with amazing tap numbers, campy jokes, unlikely happy endings and eminently hummable songs like “De-Lovely,” “I Get a Kick Out Of You” and “Anything Goes,” courtesy of the unforgettable score by Cole Porter.
