Students set for 5th Annual Summer Company Tradeshow & BBQ

On Thursday, July 11th 2013, The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. will host its 5th Annual Summer Company Tradeshow and BBQ Fundraiser. The event will be held at Léger Square beside North Bay City Hall, 200 McIntyre Street East from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.

The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides support for the start-up and expansion of small enterprises in the Nipissing and Parry Sound regions. One of the programs that we administer is the Summer Company Program which promotes youth entrepreneurship by providing funding of up to $3,000 to students between the ages of 15 and 29 to start-up and run a business for the summer. This year, we have 19 young entrepreneurs who are operating their business ventures, some of which include lawn care, sports camps, arts and crafts, and shad fly clean-up.

The tradeshow will give the students community exposure and experience marketing and selling their products and services. The event is open to the public free of charge, with proceeds from a BBQ between (11:30 AM and 1:00 PM) and prize raffle being donated to the North Bay chapter of KidSport.
