Elderly man assaulted at city transit station

On Friday the 5th of July 2013 at approximately 1:00pm an 80 year old male was waiting for his bus at the transit station at 190 Wyld Street in North Bay when without warning he was pushed to the ground from behind by a male not known to him.

Police responded and investigation led to the arrest of a 24 year old male located at the scene.

The accused was charged with one count of assault and will appear in court at a future date.

Cst. Hughes is investigating.
