City police investigating an arson

At 3:45 p.m. on the 30th June the North Bay Police bicycle (C.O.R.) unit was patrolling the railroad tracks area between Memorial Ave and Tenth St when a pedestrian advised them of smoke in a bush area.

Investigation revealed that old railway ties had been set on fire but the fire was just smouldering.

Evidence seized at the scene indicated that setting the fire was intentional.

Fire Services attended and extinguished the fire.

Cst Al Bedard is investigating.
