South River man charged with robbery

At 7:00p.m. on the 20th June a woman in the parking lot at Seymour St and the Bypass confronted a man about blocking a wheelchair access she was going to need.

When he swore at her and refused to move his vehicle she attempted to use her cell phone to take pictures. He grabbed her by the wrist and punched her in the arm while attempting to take her cell phone.

When she told him she had called 911 and the incident was being recorded he stopped.

Matthew Patton 22years of South River was arrested in a store nearby and charged with robbery.

He has been held in custody for a bail hearing.
