The Kiwanis Aktion Club was back in action for this week's North Bay Blooms Wednesday Clean Up.

Picking up litter along Marshall Park Avenue, volunteers picked up six bags of coffee cups, plastic bags, cellophane food packaging and a couple of shopping carts. One of the carts was pulled out of the mud in Parks Creeks, the second was brand new and had simply been discarded by someone at the roadside and was then returned to the shopping store. A an old child's car seat and the various pieces on a broken plastic chair thrown into the bushes were also picked up.

Thanks you to Barbara-Dawn, Jean, Will, Liz & Stacy for their help with this week's clean up - the second time out this year for most of them.

Next week's clean up location will be supported by the Greater Nipissing Stewardship Council and will focus on Chippewa Creek behind the old Hydro building on Fisher St. For details or to volunteer and help out please see www.northbayblooms.com
