Strangers captures bronze at Mexican International Film Festival

BayToday is happy to report that another North Bay short film captured a Bronze Palm Award at the 2013 Mexican International Film Festival.

‘Strangers’ written by and starring Jim Calarco, directed by Kevin Hoffman ( 2013 Gold Palm Award for Boy will be Boys) and cinematography by Ed Regan, takes a warm and touching look at a family living with Alzheimer’s an issue that many families worldwide face.

‘Strangers’ which won in the Narrative Film category is the third win for Calarco at the Mexican International Film Festival in the last several year picking up silver for ‘The House’ and gold for ‘One Wish.

This film is currently in the top ten at The Rimini Festival with final awards to be handed out after the juries in New York and Milan view the final ten in the very near future.

Strangers was shot in North Bay at the WKP Kennedy Gallery also stars Claire Calarco as Nicole, Abby Calarco as Emily, Kelly Boegel as Isabelle.
