A new phonic hearing system devices, an interpreter with a video camera display (on Capitol Centre shows in the season brochure) and subsidized spots for hearing impaired children for the Summer Adventure & Theatre Camp are all reasons The Ladies of the Royal Purple Branch #170 have given to the Capitol Centre this year.

QUOTES

“Many of the ladies in our lodge suffer from hearing impairments and we all love to help children. These are the main reason we chose to help the Capitol Centre over the years. These causes are near and dear to our hearts”
Donna Adams, Honour Royal Lady, Ladies of the Royal Purple Branch #170

“We really can’t thank them enough. Through our phonic hearing system, the camera, the interpreter and summer camp they’ve always supported us.”
Ms. Dee Adrian, General Manager, Capitol Centre

ABOUT

The Capitol Centre received funding from the Ladies over 10 years ago with the original installation of some phonic hearing devices. Since then, they’ve been on board to help in anyway for the sake of children and hearing impaired.

Ladies of the Royal Purple of Canada is a charitable organization with 190 lodges and about 5000 members Canada wide. They focus on helping children through their national charity, the Elks and Royal Purple Fund for Children. Branch #170 has approximately 20 members. They managed to raise close to $19,000 for the North Bay community through fundraisers such as their annual Bazzar and Tea held in November.
