The Canada-Wide Science Fair is the largest extra-curricular youth activity related to science and technology in Canada, bringing together our country’s best young minds. This year more than 560 students participated in this prestigious science competition. Approximately $1,000,000.00 in prizes and scholarships were awarded.
These elite participants compete in seven “Challenge” divisions and three age categories for medals and other prizes worth over $1M.

This year, BlackBerry was the Presenting sponsor at the Fair, and Microsoft was an Innovators sponsor, along with the Government of Alberta and the University of Lethbridge.
NBRSF Chair Umar Waqas commented, “Every one of our students is a winner! They are bright, inquisitive, and creative and have a real aptitude for science. It is reassuring to see what our youth are doing in preparation for being the leaders of tomorrow.”
