City police looking for impaired & distracted drivers this long weekend

The North Bay Police Service would like everyone in North Bay this weekend to have a safe and enjoyable long weekend.

This year the May long weekend falls within Canada Road Safety Week and as a result the Traffic Section and Patrol officers will be focusing specifically on impaired driving, seat belt use as well as aggressive and distracted drivers.

Parents are also reminded that local water levels are very high and water temperature is low. Extra vigilance around water ways is necessary to ensure the safety of you and your children.

Please enjoy the long weekend and take the extra few minutes necessary to ensure the safety of you and your family.
