North Bay OPP urging public to be safety conscious this long weekend

Members of the North Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are urging the public to be safety conscious this long weekend.

Victoria Day weekend has long been referred to as the “kick-off” to summer, and while it is an exciting time; it is everyone’s responsibility to be safe. While travelling on our highways, keep the “Big 4” in mind; Impaired Driving, Distracted Driving, Speeding and Seat Belts.

If you remember to adhere to these simple laws of driving, the chances for everyone having a safe trip increases.

Members of the OPP will be out in full force and will be conducting enforcement on breaches of these and all traffic laws, so help us by being part of the safety solution, not part of the problem.
