The North Bay Police Service joins other participating Municipal Police Services in Ontario in the 2013 Prescription Drug Drop-Off Program by encouraging the public to return unused, unwanted and expired medicines to the Pharmacy for disposal.
Members of the public are also reminded to secure remaining medicines for safety reasons.
The misuse of prescription drugs is a concern shared amongst Municipal Police Services in Ontario and people are reminded that use of prescription medicines should only be in accordance with direction of the prescribing physician to avoid serious or fatal results.
